About me, as an author: Diary novels and magic realism are my ‘thing’. Quirky characters are a must.
I want the reader to love or hate the characters in my books. To me, that is successful writing.
On that note, I had an amazing time writing The Red Book of Secrets – The Diary of a Mobster’s Wife. My opinion is that Markella, the mobster’s wife will provoke a response in the reader. They will adore her or hate her. Enough said.
Regarding my bio: I have worked in politics (Greece), engaged in political/social activism (took up a myriad of causes over the past few decades), education (taught, did research, sat on the Board of Directors of a private international school, Greece) and I helped create a Folklore Museum in Greece.
Now, on a more personal note:
Live, Love, Laugh is the motto.
Foodie is the persuasion.
Favorite food group was chocolate, I think it’s pasta now.
Coffee is the vitamin of choice.
I never say no to an interesting cocktail or two. Or three.
No fast food. Ever. Ethically I am a vegan, but not a practicing one.(?, I know, sounds terrible).
Jazz is amazing, but I also have ‘my songs’ in many other places as well. I don’t go with the flow – it’s not intentional, it just comes naturally.
I respect individuality and uniqueness. So be as weird as you can. Be different. It’s worth it.
